FOURTH-WALL OPT OUT
John is 25 years old and lives on our very own earth. He used to work at a video store and may recognize a number of pop culture icons and actors/actresses. But this is the same guy who refuses to believe that Elton John is one person. So.
If you're worried he'll give your character an existential crisis, there's this form you can fill out...
STRONG LANGUAGE
Cursing in RP is pretty much par for the course, but John was raised and has lived most of his life in a place where they use racist, sexist, and ableist language. To him, it's no big deal to use 'gay' or 'retard' as insults. And sometimes, he says the n-word. He's not exactly mean-spirited about it; he doesn't mean it. But it's a very delicate sort of thing, and I'm just some RPer trying to keep IC on the internet.
So here's some paperwork if this particular IC characteristic really bothers you... I can tone it down or try to avoid it.
OOC PERMISSIONS

Physical contact and interaction is mostly cool.
Romantic relationships are negotiable. John isn't mature enough for commitment.
Sexual relationships? Depends. John's into the busty blonde types. Also, see above.
Violence happens. John's only human but pretty resourceful and innovative. Things can happen.
Injuries are doable, but I'd like to discuss and clear any noticeable, severe, or critical ones.
Torture may be physical, mental, or emotional. Sure, why not.
Death is always an option, and I'm not afraid of choosing it.
Mind-reading probably works.
Mind control is something to talk about.
Location-sensing is perfectly fine.
